App: Amazing Arrows: Tap Puzzle (com.whizkidworld.amazingarrows)

Amazing Arrows is a puzzle game published by Whizkid World LLP ("we", "us"), a limited liability partnership registered in India, at B701, The Central Regency, Address, Ambalipura Grama, Bellandur, Bangalore South, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560103, India. We are responsible for the information described here, and are its controller for the purposes of data protection law.

The short version

Data stored on your device

The game saves the following in its own storage on your phone. None of it is sent to us, and none of it is attached to a crash report or an ad request.

WhatWhy
Level results in every mode: stars, best times, best scores, how many strikes; your best on each Custom mixTo show your progress and unlock what comes next
Daily puzzle and weekly challenge results, and your daily streakTo fill the Daily tab and count your streak
Badges earned, the picture book, play statistics (such as your best combo), and which tips you have seenTo award badges and show your collection
A level in progressSo you can pick it up after closing the app
Settings: sound, music, vibration, reduce motion, theme, colourful arrows, strike settingTo keep the game the way you set it
The name you type on the Player tab, if you type oneTo show it on the Player tab; without one the game shows "Player"
Whether the daily reminder is on, and its timeTo remind you once a day; see Notifications
When ads were last shownTo keep ads at least five minutes of play apart
Whether you bought Remove AdsTo stop the ads between levels
When the game last asked for a rating, and whether to ask againSo it asks rarely, and never after you say no
Your Google Play age signal, if Google Play gives oneSee Age signals

You can erase all of this from Player › Privacy › Erase all progress, by clearing the app's data in Android settings, or by uninstalling the game. Erase keeps only the record of your purchase (it belongs to your Google Play account), the age signal (see below), and a marker that tells your saved progress in Play Games which phone this is.

Backups

Android's Auto Backup is left on, so this data can follow you to a new phone. Android may copy it to your own Google Drive backup, under your Google account and Google's terms; it does not come to us. You can turn this off in your phone's settings under Google › Backup. The backup includes the record of your purchase, but it decides nothing on its own: each time the game starts with a connection, it checks your purchases with Google Play and removes anything Google Play no longer lists, such as a refunded purchase.

What leaves your device

Advertising — Google AdMob

The game shows two kinds of ad: a full-screen ad when you start a new level, at most once every five minutes of play (never on your first level of a session, and never before the daily puzzle or weekly challenge), and an optional video you can choose to watch for an extra strike or an extra hint. These are served by Google AdMob, Google's advertising service.

To do this, the Google Mobile Ads software in the game shares your device's advertising ID with Google, together with:

Google collects and uses these to choose which ads to show you, to measure them and to detect fraud. In the Play Store's Data safety terms, that is collected, and shared with a third party, for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. It is encrypted in transit. We never receive it; what reaches us is an anonymous count of ads shown.

We ask AdMob to limit ads to a PG rating (G for a player Google Play says is under 13), and ads are muted. Google explains what it collects here: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Your choice about ads

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you are shown a consent form before any ad is requested, using Google's User Messaging Platform. If you decline, ads may still be shown, but only in Google's limited form, which is not personalised and does not use your device's storage. If the question cannot be answered (for example, no connection on the first launch), no ads are requested at all until it can be, and every reward a video would unlock is granted anyway.

You can reopen that form and change your answer at any time from Player › Privacy › Ad privacy choices, which appears wherever the law requires the choice. Everywhere, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings under Privacy › Ads.

Crash reports — Google Firebase Crashlytics

When the game crashes, or hits an error it recovers from, a report goes to Google Firebase Crashlytics so the fault can be found and fixed. A report contains the error and which part of the code failed; device and system information (model, manufacturer, Android version, memory and storage, and whether the device was rooted); the app version and how long it had been running; and an installation identifier generated by Firebase, so repeated crashes from one install can be grouped. It is not your advertising ID and is not linked to your identity. Firebase also reports basic app session events (that the game was opened, and roughly for how long), which is how a crash is tied to a run.

Your progress, badges, purchase and settings are never attached to these reports, and they are not used for advertising. In the Play Store's Data safety terms this is Crash logs and Diagnostics under App info and performance, and Device or other IDs, collected for app functionality.

Crashlytics deletes a report after 90 days. Because a report carries no name, email or account, we cannot find your reports from a message, so we cannot delete particular reports on request; clearing the game's data or uninstalling starts a new installation identifier. Google processes these on our behalf: Firebase privacy and security. Crash reporting is off in the development builds we use while making the game.

Analytics — Google Analytics for Firebase

To learn how the game is really played (which levels are too hard, where players stop), the game sends a short note to Google Analytics for Firebase when:

Firebase adds what it records for every app that uses it: that the app was opened or updated, how long it was in use, a purchase made through Google Play (the item and its price), the device model, Android version, language, app version, and an approximate country from your IP address. Because the analytics is connected to our AdMob account, Firebase also records each ad shown and what it earned. Each installation gets an app-instance identifier, generated by Firebase, so one installation's levels can be counted together. The advertising ID is never collected for analytics. Analytics is connected to AdMob only to measure what ads earn; it is not used to choose which ads you see, and the data reaches us only as totals and charts.

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland the app-instance identifier is not stored, so your levels are not linked to one another. Everywhere else it is. In the Play Store's Data safety terms this is App interactions under App activity, Purchase history under Financial info, and Device or other IDs, collected for analytics and not shared. Google keeps it for 14 months. Analytics is on only in the version you install from Google Play, and never for a player Google Play says is under 18. Erase all progress also resets the app-instance identifier.

Purchases — Google Play Billing

The game offers one purchase, Remove Ads, bought once and kept. It switches off the full-screen ads between levels; the optional videos for an extra strike or hint stay, because removing them would take away something you might want. Every transaction is handled by Google Play Billing: we never see your card, your billing address or your Google account. Google tells the game only whether the purchase succeeded.

Ratings — Google Play

Now and then, after a good win and never after a loss, the game may ask Google Play to show its own rating window, and Player › Help › Rate the app opens the game's Play Store page. A rating goes to Google and is published under Google's terms; the game sends nothing for it and is not told whether you rated. You can stop the game asking in Player › Help.

Age signals — Google Play

Where the law requires it, Google Play can tell the game a player's age range (never a birthdate) through its age signals service. The game asks Google Play on your phone when it starts and when you return to it, and keeps the answer on your phone (and in your own Android backup); it is never sent to us. Until Google Play has answered once, the game shows only the non-personalised ads it would show a player under 18. If Google Play says a player is under 18, the game shows only non-personalised ads, rated G for a player under 13 and PG from 13 to 17, and sends no analytics. If it says a parent has not yet approved this version for a supervised account, the game waits for that approval before it can be played. Elsewhere Google Play gives no age and nothing changes. The game never asks your age itself.

Achievements, leaderboard and saved progress — Google Play Games

Google Play Games is optional; everything in the game works without it. If you have a Play Games profile and have allowed it, Play Games signs you in automatically when the game starts; you can turn that off in the Google Play Games app, or sign in later from the game's Player tab. While you are signed in:

All of this is kept by Google under your Google account and Google's terms; none of it comes to us. To delete it, use the Google Play Games app's settings to delete your Play Games data for this game or your whole profile. Erase all progress, while signed in, also empties the saved copy.

Notifications

If you turn on the daily reminder (the game offers it once, after your first daily puzzle, and you can change it in Player › Settings), the game schedules a local notification on your phone at the time you choose, and only when that day's puzzle is unplayed. If you allow Alarms & reminders for the game in Android's settings (it asks once, when you turn the reminder on), it comes at exactly that time; otherwise Android may send it up to an hour later. It is created and shown by your phone; nothing is sent to us or anyone else. Turning the reminder off cancels it.

Children

The game is not directed at children, and its Play Store audience is 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone: we have no accounts and receive nothing that identifies you. Where Google Play's age signals say a player is under 18, the game treats them as described above. The game is not directed at children under 13; under the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) it is a general-audience app. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us information, write to us.

Why we use your information (legal bases)

Where the law asks us to name a legal basis (for example the EU and UK GDPR, or Brazil's LGPD):

WhatLegal basis
Showing ads, and the advertising ID and data Google uses for themYour consent where it is required (the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, through the consent form); elsewhere our legitimate interest in funding a free game with ads
Crash reportsOur legitimate interest in finding and fixing faults
Analytics of levels playedOur legitimate interest in making the game fair and enjoyable; in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland no identifier is stored
Purchases through Google PlayPerforming our contract with you (delivering what you bought)
Play Games achievements, leaderboards and saved progressPerforming our contract with you, when you choose to sign in
Age signals from Google PlayComplying with the law that requires age assurance where it applies
Messages you send usOur legitimate interest in answering you

Where we rely on legitimate interest, you can object (see Your rights).

Who receives it, and where

The only recipients are the Google services named above (AdMob, Firebase, Google Play and Play Games), which process the information on Google's servers, in the United States and other countries. Google acts as our processor for Firebase, and as an independent controller for AdMob and for your Google account. Where information leaves the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, Google relies on the safeguards the law provides, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and, for the United States, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework: https://policies.google.com/privacy/frameworks. We do not sell your information, and no one else receives it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for access to the information about you, to correct it, to delete it, to receive it in a portable form, to restrict or object to its use, and to withdraw a consent at any time (without affecting what was done before). Because the game has no accounts and we receive nothing that identifies you, most information is on your phone, where you control it directly (see Deleting your data), and we usually cannot find information about you in what we receive. Write to us at whizkidworldllp@gmail.com.

Automated decisions

We make no decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects by automated means. Google may personalise ads using the advertising ID where you allow it, as described under Advertising.

Security

Information sent from the game travels encrypted. What stays on your phone is protected by Android's app storage. No system is perfectly secure.

Deleting your data

What the game keeps on your phone you can erase yourself, as described above. Crash reports and analytics carry no name or account, so we cannot pick out yours, and they are deleted automatically after 90 days and 14 months. Ad data is held by Google; use your phone's ad settings and the links above. Step by step: games.whizkidworld.in/amazing-arrows/delete-data/.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.

Contact

Questions about this policy, or a request to delete something: whizkidworldllp@gmail.com, or Whizkid World LLP, B701, The Central Regency, Address, Ambalipura Grama, Bellandur, Bangalore South, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560103, India. There is no account to sign in to and no support ticket to raise, because the game does not know who you are.

Send feedback, on the Player tab under Help, opens your own email app with a message to that address and the game's version filled in. Nothing is sent unless you send it; if you do, we receive your email address and what you wrote, use them only to reply, and delete them on request.
